MONROE, La. – (July 7, 2020) – Regions Bank on Tuesday announced the opening of a modernized Monroe branch that combines personal service from local bankers with more updated and convenient technology.
The branch is on the first floor of Premier Plaza at 1900 N. 18th St. The new location replaces Regions’ branch at 1500 N. 18th St.
“Ensuring that we’re making the banking experience more convenient is a priority for everyone at Regions,” said Stephanie Richard, Consumer Banking Manager for Regions in North Louisiana. “This location will allow us to deliver the outstanding service our longtime customers are accustomed to while also welcoming new customers seeking advice and guidance to help reach their financial goals.”
In addition to service from local bankers, the branch emphasizes greater convenience by offering a Regions Video Banking ATM for the first time in Monroe.
Through this ATM, customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during an expanded set of hours. Regions Video Bankers can answer customers’ questions, provide account maintenance, process transactions, and more – all in real time.
Regions Video Bankers are available from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. CT on weekdays. They are also available on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and during all holidays. The Video Banking ATM can be found in the branch’s drive-through.
The Monroe Main location also features three Regions DepositSmart ATMs® along the branch’s exterior, offering service around the clock. Through the DepositSmart machines, Regions customers can use the ATMs to not only withdraw cash – but also make deposits of cash or checks at any time.
We want our customers to know they can count on us to deliver the services and solutions they need, when they need them.
Roger Weldon, Consumer Banking Executive for North Louisiana
“Our enhanced technology capabilities represent a game changer in serving our customers during this time of social distancing,” said Roger Weldon, Consumer Banking Executive for North Louisiana. “We want our customers to know they can count on us to deliver the services and solutions they need, when they need them. It’s about providing peace of mind.”
Local Regions associates are available to personally assist customers with their banking needs. In-person services are currently being conducted by appointment only, similar to all Regions branches throughout the bank’s footprint, to help protect the health and well-being of customers and associates during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Opening this modern branch, as well as moving our Commercial Banking, Treasury Management and additional Business Service teams to this location, reflects our long-term commitment to the Monroe community,” said Kevin Smith, Market Executive for Regions in Monroe. “It’s an opportunity to further build on our commitment of supporting local businesses, our legacy of providing top-tier customer service and our mission of making life better for our neighbors. Our team members are pleased to call this new space home.”
