Regions Announces Temporary Banking Facilities in Monticello, Denham Springs Areas Following Recent Floods

Facilities to provide continued banking services as flood-damaged branch locations are renovated and repaired

BATON ROUGE, La. – Regions Bank on Monday formally announced temporary banking facilities have been set up and are operational in the Monticello neighborhood of Baton Rouge and in Denham Springs as Regions works to renovate and restore bank branches that were damaged during the recent floods.

“Regions is committed to helping our community recover from the floods, and we are here to provide the financial services and assistance people need to rebuild their homes, their businesses and their livelihoods,” said Danny Montelaro, South Louisiana Area President for Regions. “As we work to restore our branch locations in Monticello and Denham Springs, we have set up temporary, on-site facilities in both locations to provide essential financial services. This community is our home, too. And we are here to help our neighbors during the long-term recovery from this summer’s devastating floods.”

In the Monticello area, Regions set up a portable banking facility on the site of the company’s branch at 11880 Greenwell Springs Road. The Regions portable branch facility functions as a mobile bank branch offering a wide range of banking services. At the facility, customers can use a Regions ATM, conduct transactions with Regions tellers or speak with a banker about personal flood-recovery needs on site. The portable facility has been operational for a matter of weeks already, and clients are able to utilize the convenience of continued banking services in their home community.

In Denham Springs, Regions established a modular branch facility to serve customers at 1509 S. Range Avenue, adjacent to Regions’ permanent Denham Springs branch, which is undergoing extensive renovations to repair flood damage.

The modular facility functions as a fully staffed bank branch with Regions associates offering a wide range of financial services. The facility also provides access to a drive-up ATM for transactions.

The renovated branch locations are expected to reopen by the end of 2016.

“We look forward to opening our renovated branches in Denham Springs and Monticello in the near future. Until then, we will be here, in these temporary facilities, providing the same level of quality service to our clients,” Montelaro said.

In addition to the company’s Denham Springs and Monticello locations, Regions offers 23 branch locations and 28 ATMs throughout the Baton Rouge area.
