The rains came to South Louisiana a month ago. By the time the record deluge subsided, homes were destroyed and lives were changed.
That included the lives of many of the Regions associates who call East Baton Rouge, Denham Springs and surrounding communities home.
“One of the biggest challenges we face is helping our employees get back on their feet,” said Danny Montelaro, South Louisiana Area President. “We’ve got 92 families that had flooding in their homes – some lost their homes completely, some had significant damage.”
Montelaro and his team reached out to clients to help them with their needs after the devastation, and began lending a hand to the community in the clean-up. But a big part of the focus was simple.
Helping each other.
In addition to contributions to the community, Regions donated $100,000 to the Associate Relief Fund. As associates soon learned, help also came in the form of co-workers and friends who banded to begin putting lives back together.
