Modern Features. More Convenience. Regions Bank Opens New Metro Atlanta Location

Fresh, new facility is part of Regions’ long-term investments across Metro Atlanta.

By Jennifer Elmore | July 23, 2020

SMYRNA, Ga. – July 23, 2020 – Regions Bank on Thursday formally unveiled the company’s latest branch in Metro Atlanta that offers a unique blend of updated technology and personal service.

The Smyrna Main branch is at 3262 South Cobb Drive. The branch replaces Regions’ previous Smyrna location on Concord Road. The new location provides a more modern facility and features, along with better access and convenience for customers.

“This location is the latest investment by Regions Bank in Metro Atlanta that combines personal service and modern technology in a way that represents the future of branch banking,” said Bill Linginfelter, Metro Atlanta Market Executive for Regions Bank. “Regions is working every day to make banking easier, more convenient and more meaningful. Further, during this time of social distancing because of COVID-19, the technology enhancements at this branch also allow customers to use more of our services whenever it is most convenient for them.”

Our team of branch associates in Smyrna looks forward to serving longtime customers and welcoming new ones.
Sharon Hightower, Consumer Banking Executive for Regions

The branch is staffed by local financial professionals who provide services that go far beyond simply opening accounts or processing transactions. The Smyrna branch team is available to help customers create financial roadmaps to reach individual goals.

In addition, the branch becomes the latest across Metro Atlanta to offer Regions Video Banking. At the branch’s two Video Banking ATMs, customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during expanded hours.

Regions Video Bankers can answer customers’ questions, provide account maintenance, process transactions, and more – all in real time.

They are available from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. ET on weekdays. They are also available on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon – 6 p.m. Holiday hours are from noon until 6 p.m. as well.

The Smyrna Main location also features a Regions DepositSmart ATM. Through the DepositSmart machines, customers can use the ATMs to not only withdraw cash – but also make deposits of cash or checks at any time, around the clock. One DepositSmart ATM and one Video Banking ATM can be found in the branch’s drive-through. An additional Video Banking ATM is available in the branch’s entry area, which can be accessed after hours by swiping a Regions debit card.

Regions Video Banking offers the choice of personalized service via live, two-way video. Video Bankers are available not only during regular branch hours, but also until 9 p.m. ET on weekdays and during special weekend and holiday hours.

In-person services are currently being conducted by appointment only, similar to all Regions branches throughout the bank’s footprint, to help protect the health and well-being of customers and associates during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regions plans to host a ribbon-cutting event to formally dedicate the facility on a date to be announced.

“Our team of branch associates in Smyrna looks forward to serving longtime customers and welcoming new ones to visit the branch and see the upgrades we are offering in features and service,” said Sharon Hightower, Consumer Banking Executive for Regions. “We are proud of the new space and the opportunities this branch provides to better serve our customers in the area.”
