Meet John Lehman: U.S. Marine Corps Reservist and Regions Bank Assistant General Counsel.
Lehman has not one but two successful careers serving others. He has proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for more than 22 years, both in active duty and as a reservist. In addition, Lehman is an Assistant General Counsel in Regions Bank’s legal department, a role he has held since 2014.
Balancing military service and civilian employment is an inevitable fact of life for military reservists like Lehman, who was most recently deployed to Iraq in 2018.
“When I told my boss that I had to deploy for 12 months, Regions was nothing but supportive,” said Lehman. “There is truly something special about a company that genuinely supports the service members who have to enter the call to duty. There’s a genuine sense of pride among Regions Bank employees when other associates such as myself are in uniform and I think that is just tremendous that we are allowed to do, not only what it is that we feel compelled or honored to do, which is serve our nation, while still maintaining and growing a career at Regions Bank.”
