Music City investment professional brings deep market knowledge and a commitment to an exceptional client experience.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Dec. 8, 2022 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced Stephen Russell has joined the company’s Private Wealth Management division to lead its network of advisors who deliver tailored investment strategies for private wealth clients in Middle Tennessee and the Tennessee River Valley of North Alabama.

Russell, who is based in Nashville, joins Regions from First Horizon, where he served as regional trust executive.

Before his seven years with First Horizon, Russell served as an estate attorney and financial planner for Legacy Wealth Management. Previously, he was a private practice attorney. He earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Memphis and graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with an executive leadership certificate and a Stonier Graduate School of Banking certificate.

In 2021, Russell was honored among the 40 under 40 in Wealth Management as recognized by the American Bankers Association. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) focusing on international estate planning.

In addition, Russell is a certified public accountant (CPA), personal financial specialist (PFS), certified financial planner (CFP®), certified trust and fiduciary advisor (CTFA), certified retirement counselor (CRC®) and has his Series 7, 63 and 65 Securities Licenses. He also earned his Tennessee and Georgia Life, Health & Accident and Variable Contracts Insurance Licenses.

Active in the Middle Tennessee community, Russell coaches youth sports at the Ensworth School and Montgomery Bell Academy.
