By Evelyn Mitchell | November 18, 2025

Congratulations to Area Wealth Executive Robert Birmingham for being named the Wayne F. Lambert Trust Professional of the Year by the Alabama Bankers Association (ABA).

Who:

Robert Birmingham, Area Wealth Executive, Regions Private Wealth Management and Market Executive for Central Alabama

What:

The prestigious ABA Trust Professional of the Year award recognizes the outstanding work of trust professionals in Alabama as well as the contributions made to their companies and the larger community.

“We are incredibly proud of Robert for being recognized as Alabama’s Trust Professional of the Year,” said Leslie Carter-Prall, head of Regions Private Wealth Management. “He has built his career on providing fiduciary guidance and has a genuine passion for serving clients.”

Colleagues across the organization spoke highly of Birmingham’s impact.

“Robert has been serving our private wealth team and the trust community in Alabama for almost four decades,” said Mark Blackwell, Regional Wealth Executive. “He is highly deserving of this award, which recognizes his professional achievements and his ongoing service to Alabama.”

We are incredibly proud of Robert for being recognized as Alabama’s Trust Professional of the Year.

Leslie Carter-Prall, head of Regions Private Wealth Management.

Why:

The ABA chose Birmingham for the award in recognition of his dedication and service to both clients and peers. The award is presented by the executive committee of the ABA’s trust division, based on nominations from its members. It recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the trust industry in Alabama.

Birmingham joined Regions Bank in 1987 as a trust officer. Since that time, he has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, including area trust manager and area private wealth executive. Throughout his career he has used his knowledge and experience to meet the needs of individuals and families, mentor the next generation of leaders and serve the community through involvement in a variety of civic and charitable organizations.

In His Own Words:

I am grateful for this recognition because it comes from Trust Advisors and professionals I have worked alongside over many years. At Regions, we have so many highly skilled advisors serving our Private Wealth Management clients in this role, and I am glad to be part of that effort.
