How This Reimagined Regions Bank Branch is Helping More People Build Financial Confidence

Magnolia branch northeast of downtown Knoxville reflects the bank’s commitment to East Tennessee consumers, businesses and neighborhoods.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Aug. 23, 2024 – Regions Bank on Friday cut the ribbon and celebrated the formal reopening of its newly renovated Magnolia branch northeast of downtown Knoxville.

As a longtime member of the surrounding community, Regions reimagined the location and poured new investments into the facility to build on the company’s legacy of local service. The driving force behind the renovation was to place a greater emphasis on personal financial advice and guidance for individual consumers and business owners. The result will be greater financial confidence among the bank’s local customer base, supported by bankers who are experienced at serving the local market.

The branch is at the corner of Magnolia and Winona streets, along a corridor of new development in East Knoxville spurred by the construction of a professional baseball stadium and surrounding new residential and retail developments. Regions leaders joined the Knoxville Chamber for Friday’s rededication of the bank’s remodeled facility.

We have been longtime neighbors in this community, and we value the relationships we’ve built here.
Rob Stivers, Knoxville market executive for Regions Bank

“We have been longtime neighbors in this community, and we value the relationships we’ve built here,” said Rob Stivers, Knoxville market executive for Regions Bank. “We also welcome the new connections we’re making as more people discover what we’ve known all along – that Knoxville is an exciting place to live and work. Our new investments at Magnolia reflect our commitment to this neighborhood and the city.”

Customers arriving at the renovated Magnolia branch no longer enter a traditional teller line for service. Instead, they are greeted personally by a Regions banker who’s able to serve them during their entire visit – from handling basic transactions to providing more detailed conversations about long-term money goals.

This relationship-based approach to service is powered by an experience called Regions Greenprint® that empowers bankers to work with people and small businesses one-on-one to help them reach their unique financial goals.

“We ask customers a series of questions to determine their financial goals, and then we recommend next steps to help reach them,” said Aaron Madron, consumer banking manager for Regions. “Our upgraded technology and design at Magnolia enable us to show them a path toward building financial confidence in a caring way.”

With that same level of care, Regions Bank is reaching beyond its Magnolia branch walls through community involvement. The bank collaborates with the Knoxville Chamber, nearby schools and other organizations to advance economic and community development, support education and workforce readiness, and increase financial wellness.

During Friday’s festivities, Regions leaders presented teacher care packages to Knoxville’s Sarah Moore Green Magnet Academy and Vine Middle Magnet School. Regions volunteers also plan to teach budgeting, saving and planning lessons to teachers, students, and their families. It all aligns with the bank’s commitment to creating inclusive prosperity.

“As our community grows, we want to make sure all people have a chance to grow along with it,” said Brittney Arriola, Magnolia branch manager for Regions. “Surely, we want to be your point of contact for your banking needs; but what’s driving it all is our mission to make life better for our customers and the community.”
