Its organizers call it a “mini-MBA in a day.”
No, it’s not a formal degree. But it’s business education that would cost thousands of dollars in the collegiate world.
Only here – it’s free. The key is to apply while there’s still time.
The program is called Inner City Capital Connections, or ICCC for short. What it does is bring together business owners whose companies are in or near urban or economically underserved areas – and it empowers them through high-impact, no-cost business coaching and guidance. Mentorships are formed. Lasting relationships are built. And the numbers show that, over time, long-term success has been achieved.
Regions Bank has worked with ICCC for nearly 10 years, and in 2023, the bank is bringing the program to Nashville, Tennessee – a place we’ve served for 140 years!
By focusing on entrepreneurs in neighborhoods that have historically had less access to capital or small-business training, ICCC makes business education and financial guidance more accessible to more people. And that benefits the entire community as more locally owned businesses thrive.
Veleka Finch from the Doing More Today team was on hand when ICCC was announced for Nashville. Through the video below, see how ICCC can help take your business to the next level:
So, here’s what you need to know:
- If there’s a Nashville-area business you would like to nominate for consideration for ICCC Nashville, let ICCC know about the company here.
- If you’re a business owner in or near an urban or economically underserved community in Middle Tennessee, you can apply to participate directly through this link from ICCC.
- As Veleka showed us, nominations are due by Aug. 11, 2023. But the actual applications from business owners aren’t due until Aug. 25, 2023. Even so, we encourage you to apply now – as spaces are already filling up!
- The main ICCC Nashville event will take place on Sept. 20, 2023, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
- The numbers tell the story:
- Since ICCC’s inception in 2005, more than 5,800 businesses have participated in the program in cities across the country.
- Those businesses have since raised over $2.4 billion in capital.
- Further, they’ve created over 26,000 jobs, according to ICCC data.
