Molly Green boutique promises its customers “clothes that make you feel good.”
And it delivers – with distinctive items like “Don’t Need You Boots” and “Smoke Show Earrings” designed to give customers a confidence boost.
“What makes us unique is our attention to detail and a real heart for customer service,” said Molly Green owner Brittany Hartwell. “We have a heart for our customers and making them feel good about themselves and what they’re wearing.”
The boutique was a childhood dream for Brittany, who co-owns the brand along with her husband, Brandon, and sister, Anna Miller.
“She grew up sewing and playing dress up with her sister,” explained Brandon, “and dreamed of one day opening a clothing store.”
What started out with playing dress-up grew into a full-fledged fashion boutique in 2010 when the trio opened their first storefront in Birmingham, Alabama.
“We started Molly Green as a family: my sister and I, and my husband, and we’ve grown now to owning several stores in the Nashville, Tennessee, market – and hopefully opening more soon,” said Brittany.
“She always had a passion for fashion, so we gave that a shot,” Brandon said. “We had the opportunity to do something for ourselves and we chose to do this.”
Our team is truly my family. I’ve been working with my sister and husband for over a decade and then some of my coworkers have been working here for nine years.

This endeavor has certainly paid off. The Molly Green brand is known for its fun fashions and cute boutiques, with a focus on the customer experience.
“The style that we bring and the energy that the team brings to our customers is very different, in my opinion, compared to other boutiques around,” said Elysabeth Morales, Molly Green store manager. “We focus more on the connection we have with the customer, not just the sales. We want people to feel comfortable and confident the minute they walk in through the minute they leave our store.”
It’s that focus on the customers mentality that their Regions banker, Sonya White, immediately connected with the Molly Green owners six years ago.
“We put people first and they put people first, as well, with their customer base and their employees,” White said. “It’s really a family atmosphere they’ve created with Molly Green. They care about everyone.”
“Sonya’s just so kind to us. I think we have high demand in some respects and that’s not something she ever seems weary of,” Brittany said. “I think she’s just always willing to lend a friendly ear and hand and is always looking out for our best interests. The relationship piece is what really makes a business work.”
With their sights set on growth, this family-owned brand is determined to stay close-knit.
“Our team is truly my family,” Brittany said. “I’ve been working with my sister and husband for over a decade and then some of my coworkers have been working here for nine years. That is really special as retail is known for high turnover, but we’re lucky.”
“Ultimately, Molly Green wouldn’t exist without the people that are here every day, and we are very lucky to have such a wonderful team,” Brandon added. “We try to make Molly Green different from everybody else because of the customer experience we provide, and that’s done with our team. They’re here every day with a great attitude and making people feel at home.
“The team at Molly Green is what makes it exist.”
