Customer-Focused Banking in Metro Nashville: Regions Bank Opens Renovated Hermitage Branch

New technology and branch layout deliver more convenient, personalized banking experience.

By Veleka Finch | May 5, 2021

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 5, 2021 – Regions Bank on Wednesday announced the opening of its newly renovated Hermitage branch, combining the in-person expertise of local bankers with updated technology to deliver a more convenient and personalized way for customers to access banking services.

The branch is at the corner of Lebanon Pike and Andrew Jackson Parkway in Davidson County. Renovations were completed last month to turn the branch into one of the most modern Regions locations in the area. While construction was underway, a modular branch facility served customers on site.

Regions’ investments in Hermitage are the latest reflection of the bank’s long-term growth and service innovations in Middle Tennessee. Other examples include a modern North Nashville facility that is currently under development to replace a branch that was destroyed in last year’s tornado. In addition, Regions has debuted modernized locations in Dickson, West Nashville, Smyrna, and elsewhere. Regions has also rolled out updated digital banking options as part of its focus on enhancing the customer experience.

“Regions Bank has been a leader in delivering financial services for Metro Nashville for decades, and the investment we’re making in Hermitage is the latest example of our commitment to delivering the best banking experience in the market,” said Lee Blank, market executive for Regions Bank in Middle Tennessee. “This innovative combination of modern technology and personalized service makes banking more available and user-friendly than ever for our strong base of loyal customers, and it’s a welcomed answer to the expectations of customers who prioritize speed, convenience and access to customized financial insights from local banking teams.”

Customers arriving at the renovated location no longer enter a traditional teller line for service. Instead, they are greeted personally by a Regions banker and invited to sit down and relax while receiving personal attention to their banking needs. Whether opening an account, processing a transaction, or seeking in-depth advice on reaching a financial goal, customers are gravitating to this new twist on traditional banking.

“We have really enjoyed welcoming back our longtime customers and seeing their eyes light up when they experience the new banking format and décor for the first time,” said Hermitage Branch Manager Mackenzie Harrison. “In the brief period since we reopened, the positive feedback from customers has been tremendous.”

The branch is the latest in the Nashville area to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATM service. Through a drive-up Video Banking ATM at the branch, customers can choose standard ATM service – or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The location also includes drive-up and walk-up DepositSmart ATMs that can be used to withdraw cash or make deposits of checks or cash at any time, around the clock.

“Regions’ decision to modernize this branch, which has been a popular fixture in Davidson County for many years, is centered on customer convenience and satisfaction,” said Melanie Blank, consumer banking executive for Regions. “For our existing customers, as well as new customers moving to this rapidly growing area, we have made it as easy as possible for them to bank how they want and when they want.”

While in-person services are available during regular branch hours, customers are encouraged to use the Make an Appointment feature on Regions.com ahead of their visit as Regions locations continue to limit capacity as a safety precaution amid COVID-19.
