Coaching Columbus Forward: Regions Bank Announces Kristina Justice as Columbus-Phenix City Market Executive

Banking executive is a Columbus native and known for her encouraging, motivational approach.

By Veleka Finch | January 25, 2024

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Jan. 25, 2024 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced Columbus native and veteran local banker Kristina Justice has been elevated to serve as market executive for Regions in Columbus; Phenix City, Ala.; and surrounding Chattahoochee Valley communities. Justice succeeds Greg Allmendinger, who recently retired.

Beginning her Regions career in 2008 as a personal banker in Columbus, Justice has advanced through branch management to her current role of Consumer Banking Manager for the Columbus–Phenix City and South Georgia markets. Justice will continue in that role in addition to serving as market executive. Justice reports to Mia Hubbard, Regions’ Consumer Banking Executive for Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

“Kristina’s legacy of service is well known to our customers and community partners across the Chattahoochee Valley, and now, as market executive, she is poised to make an even greater impact for the people and businesses we serve,” Hubbard said. “The strategic approach of our company helps us make a positive difference, including through economic and community development. Kristina has shown this passion in her native Columbus with her focus on financial literacy and education. As a ‘coach’ in our branches, she shares a contagious energy, and her customers and teammates naturally respond to that. She makes everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome. And whether they see her at the grocery store, a restaurant, or elsewhere, people know her and trust her. Kristina is woven into the fabric of the community.”

As market executive, Justice will now lead the bank’s comprehensive Regions360 approach to identifying and meeting customers’ unique banking needs. Justice will team with Regions colleagues in Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, Mortgage Banking, Wealth Management, and other functions to deliver holistic financial solutions for clients. She will also work with colleagues to lead Regions’ community engagement in the area, prioritizing initiatives that support education and workforce readiness in addition to economic and community development and financial wellness.

“It’s important for Regions to have strong, visible leadership in the Columbus–Phenix City market, and Kristina Justice is the ideal leader to build on the foundation established by Greg Allmendinger and all our local associates,” added John Turner, President and CEO of Regions Financial Corp. “Kristina captures the kind of energy and passion for seeing others succeed that is essential to leadership and to the market’s growth. She grew up understanding the greater Columbus community, whether it’s the key role Fort Moore serves or the revitalization of downtown or the connections to Phenix City. Kristina is a motivator, and she’s a role model for the entire community.”

Having attended both the Fort Moore and Muscogee County school systems, Justice gives back to local schools by leading Regions teams in delivering financial education and money-management lessons to elementary, middle, and high school students. She serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley and is actively involved with the Feeding the Valley Food Bank.

“It is truly an honor to serve as market executive for the same company where I’ve built valuable relationships with customers for over 15 years,” Justice said. “It’s important to help the Columbus–Phenix City team deepen and develop new relationships through collaborations with our Regions360 approach. Many times, customers come into the bank and don’t realize all the options that they have with Regions. We’re on a mission to make sure they’re well-versed in the ways we can fulfill our mission to make life better for them.

“My father was a first-generation American from Mexico who served in the U.S. Army and was stationed here most of his career,” Justice added. “So, I grew up in Columbus, and I’m passionate about serving all of our neighbors, including by reaching under-resourced and underbanked communities and helping more people achieve financial security.

Kristina Justice moved to Columbus, Georgia, as a child. Her father, a U.S. Army veteran, was stationed at Fort Moore.

“I also look forward to continuing my work in branches, coaching on how to deliver an optimal experience for all customers,” Justice said. “It’s our job to have conversations that really uncover customer needs. Back that up with a whole bank of solutions to meet those needs – and we are truly providing shared value.”
