BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sept. 10, 2025 – Regions Bank on Wednesday announced American Banker magazine has named Janel Taylor to the publication’s 2025 Most Powerful Women in Banking: Next list.

Taylor is a senior vice president in Regions’ Human Resources division. She is a key leader within the bank’s Learning and Development group, where she manages the bank’s Emerging Talent Program, an early career program created to train and develop current college students and recent college graduates as they begin to build a career with Regions.

The American Banker distinction honors high-achieving women 40 years of age and under who have successfully executed major internal projects, initiated meaningful change within their banks, and are helping shape the future of the financial services industry.

For example, Taylor manages Regions’ Guild Tuition assistance program and leads various upskilling, reskilling and development initiatives, with an emphasis on scaling the bank’s leadership and learning programs to serve more associates, helping them build their career with Regions to serve clients across all lines of business. Taylor began her banking career in 2008.
