A Better Way to Bank in Osceola County: Regions Bank Opens Sunrise Plaza Branch in Kissimmee

Next-generation branch concept offers a more convenient, personal banking experience

By Veleka Finch | September 1, 2021

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Sept. 1, 2021 – Regions Bank on Wednesday announced the opening of its latest branch investment in Greater Orlando. The Sunrise Plaza branch combines personal service from experienced local bankers with leading-edge technology, giving people and businesses a more convenient and customized way to reach their financial goals.

The newly built branch is at 3195 Vineland Road near the corner of North Poinciana Blvd., next to Starbucks, in Osceola County. It immediately becomes one of Regions’ most modern locations in all of Florida, complementing other new Regions facilities that have opened in Greater Orlando as well as in Miami-Dade and Broward counties in recent months.

“With Greater Orlando being the most popular tourist destination in the U.S., Regions’ premium banking experience in Kissimmee caters to both our local customers and people visiting from within our 15-state footprint,” said Chris Hurst, Orlando market executive for Regions Bank. “Based on feedback at our new branches in Windermere and Winter Garden, this unique combination of in-person engagement and modern technology is a welcomed breath of fresh air. Our modernized branches complete with Regions’ enhanced digital services truly deliver what we call an omni-channel approach to relationship banking.”

Upon entering the new Kissimmee location, customers are greeted personally by a Regions banker instead of having to wait in a traditional teller line. Branch team members are focused on taking the time to listen to customers’ unique needs. While they are ready to facilitate a variety of transactions, they are also ready to help customers create a financial roadmap toward reaching their own, unique financial objectives.

“Since our first day of welcoming customers to this new branch, the feedback we have received has been tremendous,” said Sunrise Plaza Branch Manager Marelsy Cotto. “They love the modern branch concept’s clean and open look and the way we welcome them at the door the moment they walk in. Best of all, they take pride and comfort in knowing they have their very own experienced personal banker helping them with any need, whether at the branch or remotely via phone or email. It’s a very real enthusiasm, and our branch team could not be more excited.”

Cotto said in celebration of the branch’s grand opening, Regions associates safely provided catered lunches to local firefighting and health care heroes at two local fire stations – numbers 42 and 43 – and the Osceola Medical Center in Kissimmee.

Regions’ Video Banking ATMs connect customers via live, two-way video for personalized service during an expanded set of hours. The new South Beach location offers a Video Banking ATM onsite for walk-up customers.

The branch is also the latest in Greater Orlando to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATM service. Through two Video Banking ATMs – including one walk-up machine and one drive-up machine – customers can choose standard ATM service, or they can connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video. Video Bankers deliver personal service during expanded hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Kissimmee location also includes one drive-up DepositSmart ATM. In addition to dispensing cash, Regions’ DepositSmart ATMs can also accept deposits of cash or checks any time around the clock.

“With resorts nearby, Osceola County’s proximity to the tourism corridor make it one of the fastest-growing areas in Central Florida,” said Martin Baker, consumer banking manager for Regions. “This Sunrise Plaza location not only marks Regions’ latest investment in Central Florida – it also gives the area next-level accessibility to better banking that people want and deserve.”

In-person services are available during regular branch hours, and customers may use the Make an Appointment feature on Regions.com ahead of their visit. Regions is recommending that customers and visitors wear a mask or face covering in Regions facilities, and associates are required to do so.
