American Banker Honors Regions’ Kate Danella as One of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking

Regions Bank executive earns this national recognition for the fifth consecutive year based on leadership, business performance, and customer impact.

By Jennifer Elmore | October 1, 2026

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Oct. 1, 2026 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced Chief Administrative Officer Kate Danella has once again been named by American Banker magazine as one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking.”

This is the fifth consecutive year for Danella to earn this honor, which is based on her track record of solid leadership, strong business performance, and contributions to customers and communities.

Why the American Banker Recognition Matters:

Danella, who served as head of Consumer Banking for Regions before recently being announced as Chief Administrative Officer, takes a customer-centric view with every decision, which is evidenced by Regions’ #1 ranking for Customer Satisfaction among Regional Bank Websites according to JD Power. She is known for her commitment to ensuring a seamless customer experience and working hand-in-hand with teams developing ways banking can be easier, more intuitive, and more beneficial to consumers and businesses.

Danella’s recognition also reflects Regions Bank’s continued focus on advancing digital banking experiences while supporting more long-term growth across Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking and Wealth Management.

“Kate’s leadership continues to strengthen Regions Bank in meaningful ways for our associates, customers, communities and shareholders,” said John Turner, Chairman, President and CEO of Regions Financial Corp. “Kate combines strategic vision with a deep commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience. This latest recognition reflects the continued impact she has across our company and throughout the banking industry.”

“As financial professionals, we have a tremendous responsibility to not only help customers reach their goals, but also to create the next generation of innovation and growth as we reach more clients,” Danella said. “In every season, we will build on our strengths, envision the future, innovate with purpose, and deliver experiences that create more long-term value for those we serve.”
