Deeply Rooted, Future Focused: Regions Bank, Greater Belleville Chamber Cut the Ribbon on New Branch

Bank unveils modern location, presents donation to high school workforce program.

By Kim Borges | December 5, 2025

BELLEVILLE, Ill.–December 5, 2025 – Regions Bank and The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 4 cut the ribbon on Southern Illinois’ newest cutting-edge banking location.

The celebration occurred at Regions’ West Belleville branch at 5401 N. Belt W., which opened in November and replaces the bank’s adjacent 4800 W. Main St. location.

“Regions Bank’s roots in Belleville run incredibly deep,” said Tyler Lipe, Midwest Consumer Banking executive with Regions. “Our team members are proud to call this vibrant community home, and it’s an honor for us to serve the people, families and companies who’ve done the same for decades. Opening our West Belleville location represents the next exciting chapter of building on the strong foundation we’ve established in St. Clair County.”

That foundation includes supporting the business community.

“Investments like this one strengthen Belleville’s economic vitality and create opportunities for growth,” said Maribeth Bendick, President and CEO of The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber is thrilled to celebrate Regions Bank’s grand re-opening. This event highlights their continued commitment to serving our community and supporting local businesses. The Chamber is proud to stand alongside Regions Bank as they invest in the future of our region.”

The bank’s investment in the West Belleville branch combines the personalized customer service Regions is known for delivering with the latest advances in banking technology. Featuring the convenience of both a drive-up and walk-up ATM, the new location offers customers the added convenience of being able to conduct simple banking transactions at any time. While its technology capabilities are new, Regions’ commitment to working hand-in-hand with customers remains the same.

“Every day, our team is having needs-based conversations to help customers achieve their unique financial goals,” said Lawrence Parker, manager of the West Belleville Branch. “We’re focused on thoughtfully listening to customer’s needs and leveraging tools like our Regions Greenprint® plan, which allows them to develop a personalized financial roadmap aligning with their goals and evolving with their life circumstances.”

In addition to the bank’s investment in branch technology and business community, Regions also presented a $2,500 donation to the Center for Academic and Vocational Excellence (CAVE) during the ribbon cutting celebration.

Part of Belleville Township High School District #201, the CAVE offers vocational programs in welding, culinary arts, automotive, carpentry and construction and additional fields. For the past several years, Regions team members have focused on helping high school students across Belleville build a strong financial foundation by teaching free education classes discussing saving, budgeting, credit and more. Bank associates will present the next financial education session to students involved with the CAVE program in January.
