What Does Women’s History Month Mean to You?

Women of Regions share their thoughts.

By Lara Warren | March 18, 2022

Regions is celebrating women’s history this month, reflecting on the many contributions women make to our society and our company.

What does Women’s History Month mean to our associates? As women gathered earlier this month at the inaugural Women of Regions Symposium, we asked them what the month meant to them. Watch the video below for their thoughts.

What does Women’s History Month mean to you?

Clara Green

“Women’s History Month is a great time for us to all stop and reflect on the attributes women have had on the building and shaping of our country and the building and shaping of so many corporate America spaces. We all stand on the shoulders of women. So it’s a great time to stop and to reflect on that progress. But it’s also time to think about the future and what needs to happen in the future to continue to prepare and inspire the generations that are to come.”

Clara Green, head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Seanna McGough

“Women’s history is everyone’s history, right? So it’s an opportunity to really celebrate all of the accomplishments of our women, big and small — to really learn more about the things that we do as women and give us a chance to really learn and grow in that space. It’s just a great way to incorporate that into one month.”

Seanna McGough, head of Learning & Development

Erin Morgan

“I have this long history of hard-working women in my family, and you look around (the symposium) you just see this wonderful group of hard-working women engaged during Women’s History Month. It’s really impactful.”

Erin Morgan, Strategic Planning Manager

Caroline Taylor

“Women’s History Month is a great time to highlight the achievements of women that have come before me. Women that are still doing it today. And to also give little girls — who look like my little girl —  a vision to say, hey, I can do that. It can be easier because there have been others before me who have paved the way. So hopefully they can learn from some of our learnings. And also I think it’s pretty great that it’s coming off of Black History Month.”

Caroline Taylor, head of Small Business Administration Lending
