Junior Achievement: Providing a Jump Start on Success for the Next Generation

In Alabama and beyond, Regions provides financial support and volunteer opportunities for associates to help make an impact.

By Doug Segrest | April 1, 2020

Across the nation, Junior Achievement’s mission is inspiring and preparing young people for success.

In Alabama – and throughout the 15 states it serves – Regions Bank has played a vital role in Junior Achievement’s success, providing mentoring, volunteer service and financial support.

“The relationship with Regions Bank for Junior Achievement – not just here in Greater Birmingham and the state of Alabama but across the footprint – has really been meaningful,” said Chip Reed, Junior Achievement of Alabama president. “We can’t do what we do without our corporate partners – certainly from a funding perspective as a nonprofit. But, just as important if not more important, it’s the volunteers, the real-world role models coming from the corporate world that get to walk into that classroom and say to these kids, ‘Well, you know in my life, or in my job or in my experience …’

“This is why those things are important,” Reed added. “It’s that volunteer component and conviction that ultimately makes the big difference.”

Take a few minutes and learn more about Junior Achievement’s impact on the next generation.
